Femme à la voilette

Ask anything

  • Luca Melchionna asked

How do you prevent wax from melting?

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Luca, I checked with the registrar and she told me that we always keep a maximum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and the humidity between 45% and 55% in the exhibitions and storage spaces. This to protect the collection and thus also this piece made from plaster and wax. Best, Lisa
