  Hi Jeroen, I am sorry but I do not know the answer to your question. Maybe an expert on Monet did research all the sites where he painted. Maybe the Daniel Wildenstein catalogue raisonnée says something about it. You can consult this catalogue in a specialized library, for instance in the Boijmans library at the Depot and probably also at the RKD in the Hague or the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.   Hi! Is "La Maison du pêcheur, Varengeville" at the same spot as MoMA's "On the Cliff at Pourville, Clear Weather", the MET's "Cabin of the Customs Watch" and National Museum's "View over the Sea"? The three latter paintings are supposed to be painted in the neighbouring village Pourville. Thanks! Mats

  Dear Mats, Monet painted 14 versions of this motif at Pourville in 1882. The painting in the collection of the MoMA and the National Museum are at the same spot, which is different from the spot depicted in the painting from our collection. Because we cannot see the cabin in those two paintings. The spot depicted in the painting of the MET looks a lot like the one in Boijmans. However, the painting in Boijmans was made in Varengeville while as the other one is made in Pourville. Those two places are very close to each other. Best, Lisa
