A Goldfinch and a Robin

Ask anything

  • Helen F. Wilson asked

I am currently writing an academic book on Robins, which will be published with Reaktion Books, London. I wanted to include reference to Cornelis Samuel Stortenbeker's 'A goldfinch and a robin' and wondered whether you allowed the reproduction of the image for non-commercial use and if so, whether you had more information about the painting?

    Thank you in advance, Helen

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Helen, how wonderful that you want to include an image of this painting. Its best to contact images@boijmans.nl and request to use the image for non-commercial use. I can't seem to find any more information on the work in our records, but you can try the Netherlands Institute of Art History (RKD) in Den Haag and check with them. Good luck with the publication! Best, Lisa Heinis
