  • hayati cil asked

Hi, I wonder if this is a designer or an endustrial object. I found that Ravineri Castoldi & C is an electrostatic painting manifacture company in Milano. I would appreciate if you share me more info. Sincerely

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

    Dear Hayati,
The work has been classified as a design object in the museum collection. The step is furthermore a part of a limited edition which featured two identical steps. Hence, the step can be considered a design object rather than an industrial object.
    Best,
    Frederieke

  • Thomas Weiss asked

    Hey,
I am wondering, how many of those exist? I got one as a gift from my professor when he retired and I can't find any real information about this piece.

    Sincerely,
    Thomas

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

    Dear Thomas,
We don’t know exactly how many of these funscates exist, but it is a small number. Very nice to have one! It is made by Ravarini Castaldi & co, from Milano.
    Kind regards,
    Esther
