More than twenty years after the retrospective exhibition of JCJ VANDERHEYDEN in the then ‘Museum Boymans-van Beuningen’, the artist VANDERHEYDEN was back at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen with an installation in two galleries entitled ‘In-sight’.

At the end of September 2011, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen opened an exhibition by one of the most important artists of the last fifty years: JCJ VANDERHEYDEN. The exhibition was splitted across two galleries. One gallery contained an open chest housing a collection of works. This chest is like a microcosm of the artist’s ideas. The second gallery contained a selection of paintings, photographs and other works from the artist’s oeuvre.
