Art by request
Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen houses the museum's entire collection, shown through exhibitions, tours and activities that allow visitors a view behind the scenes. But what if you want to take a closer look at a specific artwork, and maybe hear even more about it?
Responding to the demand from our visitors, you can now take part in Art on request. This makes it possible to request a viewing of a work of art in one of the Depot spaces on special Thursdays.
Details
- Possible on Thursdays, at a date and time determined by mutual agreement
- It costs 50 euro, plus a valid admission ticket
- A maximum of two people may join each session
- A maximum of two artworks may be requested for each session
- Each session is a maximum of 45 minutes
Suitability
Unfortunately, not all artworks can be displayed in the study rooms, and we must therefore review each request individually.
Bookings
Email planning@boijmans.nl with the subject and provide as much information as possible:
- Which artworks are requested
- The reasons for the request
- Any specific questions about the artwork or artist, etc.
In consultation with Depot staff, you can make an appointment for a viewing. You will still need to book tickets with a valid time slot at boijmans.nl/tickets. At the time of the appointment, Depot staff will take you to one of the Depot spaces where the requested artworks will be ready for you.
