I can tell you that it entered the Boijmans collection in 1965 from the estate of ms. M.J.C. Kronenberg. It portrays a location in the Dutch province of Drenthe and if you want to know more about that you can visit www.vangoghindrenthe.nl. If you want to know more aboiut the position of this drawing in Van Gogh's oeuvre, I would suggest that you visit an art library. The real experts on Vincent are in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
