Vic Gentils likes to use piano parts as material for his reliefs and other compositions. He recreates these elements into a completely new, self-contained world of expressive forms, from which a great suggestive force emanates. Here he has used parts of sounding-boards with strings, keyboard covers and frames of a piano put together into an imposing composition. We seem to hear almost the full sounds of a Bach organ fugue.
