All the fruit here ripens in late summer. This is rather unusual; most fruit still lifes feature fruit from different seasons. Mignon captured everything with incredible precision – some grapes with gleaming skins, others with a soft bloom, leaves with sparkling drops of water, two snails, a caterpillar and a butterfly.
