Boijmans Basis Fund
The endowment fund from which the future arises.
The museum is always in motion. And will continue to be. To maintain this continuous
movement, the Boijmans Van Beuningen Basis Fund was established. This Fund is an
independent foundation with its own board. The goal of the fund is to build a structural
capital base. The returns from this capital are used for acquisitions, education projects,
restorations, and exhibitions. A contribution to the fund is long-term invested, and only
the returns are spent. On the occasion of the museum's 175th anniversary in 2024, Participation Certificates were made available, each worth €12,500. As a periodic gift, this amounts to €2,500 per year. The certificate serves as proof that a donation is part of the Fund's capital.

- The annual reception: a gathering in the Depot or museum, with information
about projects realized thanks to the Fund; - The annual Boijmans Party;
- Exhibition openings and other events, such as the annual Museumpark Friends' Day;
- The annual reception on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
One-Time Donations
Of course, one-time donations, large or small, are also very welcome. You can transfer
your donation to bank account NL82 ABNA 0127 6001 59 in the name of Stichting
Boijmans Van Beuningen Basis Fonds.
Purchase Mark Manders
Thanks to the contribution of an anonymous Rotterdam entrepreneur, Mark Manders' sculpture ‘Dry Clay Head on Concrete Floor’ was purchased in 2018 with the proceeds from the Basis Fund. The Basis Fund was established in 2014, initially under the name Endowment Fund, and is housed in an independent foundation that has cultural ANBI status. Donations are therefore exempt from inheritance and gift tax.
Bequests to the Basic Fund
You can also include the Basis Fund in your will. By leaving a legacy to the Basis Fund, you will play a valuable role in safeguarding our exceptional heritage for future generations.
