'De afbreekeconomie': Breaking Down in the Struggle for a Better Life

On December 14 and 15, 2020, the exhibition space in the Cathedral of Atelier VanLieshout was transformed into a film set. In just two days, the exhibition 'Deafbreekeconomie' was recorded online. The online exhibition has been availablesince the spring of 2021 and will continue until December 2021. 'Deafbreekeconomie' addresses an alternative economy that breaks away from thefossil era. It depicts the transition from the fossil economy to a bio-based economythrough the eyes of two designers and an artist: Studio Klarenbeek & Dros, Koehorstin 't Veld, and Atelier Van Lieshout.

The exhibition was curated by Annemartine van Kesteren, and the concept for the online environment was devised and implemented in collaboration with Koehorst in “t Veld and filmmaker Roel van Tour. 'The Demolition Economy” was realised with support from the Mondriaan Fund and the Creative Industries Fund NL.
