The pixels are part of Cut-Up VJ-loops 1995-2000. Cut-Up was the VJ name of Geert Mul, in collaboration with Titus van Eck, and they performed between 1994 and 2000. The backdrop to this work is a collaboration with techno pioneer Speedy J, including projects at Nighttown Rotterdam, Lowlands and Amsterdam Dance Event.

New in the collection - Geert Mul
Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is pleased to share it has acquired six ‘pixels’ by Geert Mul for its collection. The pixels were presented as part of an immersive installation in the exhibition Pixel Pioneers at Depot (April - September 2026).
