Isaac sits upright in bed, blessing Jacob with
his right hand. Behind him stands his wife Rebecca. This sheet is one of the
earliest known compositional drawings by Govert Flinck and is likely a
preparatory study for his painting of the same subject in the Rijksmuseum
Amsterdam, dated 1638.
