    Hi Doris, Thanks for your question. I am not a hundred percent sure, but I think the sound is activated by a sensor which registers movement. I am also not sure if the brothers say 'hoppa!' or 'papa!' (Dutch for daddy). Altogether is is an enigmatic artwork, in which the non-material elements (movement, shadows, sound) seem far more important then the material components. Kind regards, Els

    Dear Iuliana, Peter Zegveld is a very interesting Dutch artist who makes playful, and at the same time melancholic and mildly critical artworks about what it is to be human. For this he animates objects and immaterial shapes (shadows) and uses sound, music, movement and various theatrical techniques.
