Even something as simple as a sugar bowl can be a major challenge for a designer. The Java Container, executed in white melamine, consists of a low cylinder with an angular side. The hollow grip, which is mounted vertically, acts as an ingenious joint for a hinged flat lid. The Java Container is one of the many fascinating designs produced by the Italian designer Enzo Mari for his company Danese.
