From 1953 onwards, old silver objects were retested and stamped with a hallmark that indicates the silver fineness: ZI for 1st standard silver (fineness 925/1000) and ZII for 2nd standard silver (fineness 835/1000). This salt cellar by Anthony Grill bears a ZI hallmark.
