More information

In the second half of the 19th century, the Cantagalli ceramic studio in Florence produced maiolica based on old examples.
This flat saucer is made of white earthenware with polychromatic glaze. The middle shows an illustration of St. George and the Dragon. The edge of the saucer is painted with grotesques reminiscent of late 16th century maiolica from Urbino.
