    En nog een tweede vraag. Is hij nu volgens jullie biografische gegevens (1730-1812) in 1814 al overleden en is het dan een leerling-opvolger die zijn teken gebruikt?

    Beste Aarnout, dank voor je opmerkzaamheid. Het inktstel is nog niet lang in de collectie en de gegevens waarmee het binnenkwam kloppen niet helemaal. Die gegevens staan echter nog wel in het collectieregistratiesysteem en worden binnenkort door de conservator bijgewerkt. Voor nu kan ik zeggen dat het inktstel is gemaakt door zilversmid Jean George Grebe senior, de schoonzoon van Cornelis Knuysting. Hopelijk heb je hier wat aan. Hartelijke groet, Els
