Gertrud Vasegaard, from the famous Hjorth pottery family in Bornholm, makes both unique items in her own studio and services for the Danish ceramic industry. Her work is typically Danish: simple shapes that are underlined with a linear decoration. This tall ten-sided bowl, made of beige earthenware and thick transparent yellow glaze, is inlaid with white porcelain in the form of a spiral decoration that springs in a step-like way.
