Plateelbakkerij Ram was established in 1921 to produce the designs of T.A.C. Colenbrander, who was already eighty years old. Colenbrander drew his decorations first on paper and then on the biscuit-fired products. His designs indicated the colours, which the painters at the factory had to elaborate upon.
