The work of the Rotterdam designer Jaap Gidding is considered Dutch Art Deco. In the 1920s and 30s, as modernism with its lack of ornaments made its breakthrough, he remained a popular 'decorative artist'. His most famous work is the interior of the Amsterdam cinema Tuschinsky.
