In their ceramics class at the Bauhaus in Germany, Bogler and Lindig gave their students a thorough grounding in the craft of pottery. After this basic training, the students were encouraged to produce their designs in large numbers to be sold. In their own objects they referred to handcrafted objects but also to the Constructivist style typical of the Bauhaus.
