    Good morning. Is this shape typical of the Danish costrel? what is the age of this piece and how much would this be worth?

    Hi Anne,
    The costrel dates from the Middle Ages, it was made between 1150 and 1350. Its geographical origin is Egypt. The shape of the costrel is typical of Medieval costrels, although its material (pewter), is not. As for the worth: as a museum we don't appraise artworks. Kindest regards, Jephta
