Ask anything

  • de Koning Robert asked

Dear Madam/Sir, I am rather intrigued by this little vase from the hand of Georges Barboteaux. Would it be possible to know what the aretist has written underneath the vase and whether it is silver marked? Would it be possible to know the weight?

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Robert, the weight can be found under the button 'show all details'(with all other factual information) and is 0,293 kilo. The vase is signed GBarboteaux and also bears the monogram GB. The silver is marked with a boar's head and the letters AG, in between of which there is a lily. I hope this is helpful. Kind regards, Els
