After a career spanning decades as head designer of the Leerdam Glass Factory, Andries D. Copier worked on a fascinating oeuvre of studio glass. He worked closely with glass blowers in countless glassworks both at home and abroad. This object is the result of a collaboration with the Czech glass blower Pter Novotny and cutter Jan Friedrich. The half sphere, made of honey-coloured crystal with an opaque white and a red inner layer rests on a cut square point.
