Ruins, monuments, excavations and subterranean structures provide evidence of the region's history. In 'Ye Olde Ruin' we see a mound of stones surmounted by a modern-looking structure. Elsewhere, in a jumble of lines, we can still make out the words 'all art is dead'. This site seems to occupy the middle ground between a cemetery and a monument, and is filled with sculptures that call to mind the work of Henry Moore, Robert Smithson and Donald Judd.
