The French artist René Lalique was a dual talent. His exuberant Art Nouveau jewellery made him world famous. But he was also a very talented glass designer and highly respected during the Art Deco. He produced thousands of designs for pressed glass. This round, opaline saucer, with raised edge, is reminiscent of a pond in which fish are swimming.
