This travel tea set, consisting of a tea pot, a separate bar-like handle, milk jug, sugar bowl and collapsible burner, has a remarkably handy design. All items fit inside the tea pot which in turn fits in a leather casing. The design is very characteristic for Christopher Dresser who, after a visit to Japan, flew in the face of the current fashion for the sumptuous 19th-century neo styles and thought up extremely simple forms.
