Ask anything

  • Perihaan Khan asked

    Hello,
I am an art history student at Leiden University and am doing a short research video on this piece. Is it possible to view the artwork and perhaps film the project there?

    Best,
    Perihaan Khan

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Perihaan, I am very sorry that I have to disappoint you. Our museum is under reconstruction and all works in our depots are packed to me moved to Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. They will be accessible for research again in the fall of 2021. I think you have to be creative and make a video with the hi res image of Louise Lawler's work that is provided by the collection online. By the way, I recall having received an email by a researcher about this work. According to him the photo does not show the dining toom of Mrs Burton Tremaine's house in Connecticut, but of her house in New York. I will send you his email with other detailed information. Good luck with your project! Els
