Hi Mahsa, thank you for asking. As with many contemporary paintings there is not just one story, the idea is that the image evokes a story in the mind of the person who looks at the image. In this case we see a human figure and a dog in a kind of embrace. The title suggests that the dog is sick. We can imagine how the story began, with the person having a puppy. We can imagine how it continued, with the two of hem being the best friends. Now the dog is not well. Will it be better again or will it die? It is up to you to think about these kind of things.
