Get an exclusive look behind the scenes. This edition focuses on Rondom Mode, Boijmans Backstage x Year of the Woman and a tour in Dutch Sign Language. Discover how exhibitions are created, what stories women and designers add to the collection and experience the Depot through the eyes of the curator. What choices have been made, and what is being researched?
Boijmans Backstage
During Boijmans Backstage, you get an exclusive glimpse into the world behind the collection. Museum staff share stories about their work — from research to exhibition — and how artists contribute to the collection. At times, you may even visit one of the compartments in the Depot.
Programme
- Boijmans Backstage (Accessible)
With Kirsten de Ven, you will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Depot. Together with her and a Dutch Sign Language interpreter, you will discover how the collection is stored and cared for. Kirsten is an Art Mediator in Dutch Sign Language, and guides you through the Depot in an inspiring way.
This tour is accessible to everyone, whether you use sign language or not. The collaboration between Kirsten and the interpreter is an example of how the museum is working towards inclusion - enriching the experience for all visitors.
