In about 1543 the French artist Juste de Juste produced a series of five prints, showing naked men engaged in gymnastic activities. The complete series on this unusual topic is presently in the museum's Print Room. The bodies of the men are elongated and slightly curved, in characteristic Mannerist style. The prints undoubtedly represent a piinacle of the graphic work of the Fontainebleau School.
