Dit landschap met drie standaardmolens op een rij is getekend in de trant van Jan Brueghel de Oude. Op de voorgrond staat een wagen bespannen met twee paarden, in het landschap zijn enkele figuurtjes en aan de horizon de contouren van een stad uitgebeeld. De voorstelling is getekend in harde penlijnen. Het is een herhaling van een voorstelling die in verschillende varianten op schilderijen en tekeningen van Jan Brueghel voorkomt (zie ook inv. nr. N 148).1 De compositie van deze Rotterdamse tekening is een navolging van een geschilderd landschap met vier standaardmolens van Jan Brueghel in Schwerin van circa 1608.2
