This drawing was signed in full by Drost - about whom nothing
further is known - at lower centre with the addition ‘DEL.AD.VIV’, an
abbreviation of the Latin ‘delineavit ad vivum’ - drawn from life. It is
highly unlikely that this was actually the case.
