Toulouse-Lautrec was not a member of the Nabis, although he did share their interest in colour lithography. He made a great name for himself with his posters for theatrical performances and cabarets, and this sheet is a good example. It advertises an exhibition on ‘Elles’, an album by Lautrec containing pictures of prostitutes going about their everyday business.
