Dit jongensportret is een kopie naar een tekening in het Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, die aanvankelijk aan Jacques de Gheyn toegeschreven werd en later aan Aegidius Sadeler (ca. 1570-1629).1 Hetzelfde jongetje, maar dan in een andere pose, is uitgebeeld op een anonieme tekening in Amsterdam.2
