Ask anything

  • lucy asked

my dad was given a soft screw and it is sitting in his basement by a client (he does tree service). should we sell it? how do we maintain it? it is melting away. Thank you!

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

    Hi Lucy,

In case you don't know, the material of your object is polyurethane and lacquered mahogany. In case you'd like to fix any damage, I'd advise you to get in touch with a specialized restorer. I have asked my colleague for tips to conserve your object. I'll get back to you when I hear more.

    Best,
    Gianni
