A high-pile carpet with the structure of kitchen mops and several eggs are combined into a minimalist composition. Wim T. Schippers made this work at a time when pop art and new realism were enjoying their heyday. He shared an interest for consumer articles and everyday objects with the artists in these movements. He deflates the heroism that had arisen around his contemporaries with a touch of humour.
