Jean Dubuffet (in 1967)

Ask anything

  • Stephen Mack asked

Who was Jacques Ulmann? Looking forward to your reply!

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Stephen, Jacques Ulmann is one of the three dealers who signed a collective contract with Jean Dubuffet for the acquisition of his production, which Dubuffet, back then living in Vence, sends to Paris at least twice a year to be split among Ulmann, Rudy Drouin, and Pierre Matisse. Gabrielle Neumann acts as liaison between them and the artist. Best, Luuk Hoogewerf
