    Dear Yixuan Ma,
    Alexander Colville was a Canadian artist. At the time this painting was made he lived in Nova Scotia, a province in eastern Canada. The mountains in the background could be the Appalachians of Nova Scotia. The exact location is unknown, but I hope this answers your question!
