The Ages of Man and Woman

Ask anything

  • Barbara H Rosenwein asked

Ages of Man and Woman, anon. For whom made? Is a high res photo and permission to use available? To whom do I write?

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Hi Barbara, the print was made for (and maybe also designed by) Francoys van Beusekom, who was a print artist, a publisher and an art dealer. At the time there were many collectors in Europe interested in collecting prints. Actually this one has been in the collection of Friendrich August II von Sachsen. And yes, you have permission to use it, but you need to give the proper credits. See: https://www.boijmans.nl/en/image-requests
For a high res image and inforrmation about the creditline, please contact my colleague at images@boijmans.nl.
I hope this is helpful. Kind regards, Els
