In the run-up to the opening of Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen in 2021, multiple artists and illustrators were asked to portrait the depot in their own way. Iwan Smit portaited the depot as a good friend of the museum which would offer help in though times. This artwork is part of the series named ‘Reflections’, which was an Artprint series exclusive for Friends of the museum. A new Friend received the Artprint of Iwan Smit as a gift in appreciation for the support the museum was given.
