Does this have any relationship with the Sick dog and the man painting

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Hi there, Yes, the dog that is portrayed here is called Muffit and belonged to the artist, Co Westerik. It is the same dog who is portrayed years later, old and sick, on the verge of dying. The depot app gives a story with quotes from the artist's diary, but it has not been translated in English yet. Excuse me for that. I will take care that it will be translated soon. Kind regards, Els
