More information

Two prints in the Turks set did not survive intact. The missing sections were filled in with pen and ink in the 19th century, when a facsimile edition of the set was produced. This was not done correctly, as we see from the two heads just showing above the horses in the background on the right. These are captives being carried off by the Turks.
