Hi Matti, the museum is closed for renovations at the moment. We're opening the Depot where it will be housed this November. But because this isn't a museum, it won't be exhibited in full. Definitely keep en eye on our website, you never know if it will be installed somewhere in the next few years. Best, Lisa Heinis

The Finnish architect Matti Suuronen designed this UFO-like house in 1968. It implies an optimistic view of the future. It is light, cheap and easily transportable and would be the ideal holiday house that could be set down anywhere in the world. It suits a new type of person, who has more spare time than ever before. The house is furnished and can hold up to eight people. The prototype of Futuro was acquired in 2005 by Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum, with the support of the BankGiroloterij and was subsequently carefully restored.
