This crossbreed hound curled up asleep is somewhat like a Little Münsterländer. Perhaps this dog may have belonged to a farmer, who kept him to guard the farm. The dog may have accompanied him bird shooting. He put up the game and then retrieved it after it was shot. As a reward he got a piece of offal, after which he was able to enjoy a well-earned nap.
