Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen has issued most of its own publications since 2005. Each year it publishes lavishly illustrated exhibition catalogues and scholarly volumes about the museum’s collections of painting and sculpture, prints and drawings, design, applied arts, fashion and photography.

The museum develops the publications on its own initiative or in partnership with artists or other museums. Boijmans works with an extensive network of authors, editors, translators, photographers and graphic designers. The majority of the titles are published in both Dutch and English editions, making them accessible to a large international readership. Boijmans’ publications are distributed by Idea Books and Exhibitions International and are available from bookshops in the Netherlands and abroad.
