About Ernesto Neto
Ernesto Neto is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of his generation. Since the 1990s, he has developed a distinctive visual language through his large-scale textile installations. His work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in major museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
Neto’s immersive environments invite visitors not only to look at art, but to experience it through all their senses. Drawing inspiration from natural forms, spiritual knowledge and traditions, as well as Brazilian art since modernism, Neto explores themes such as interconnectedness, community and the relationship between humanity and nature. His installations transform exhibition spaces into places where visitors are encouraged to wander, meditate and dance, and where they can (re)connect with themselves, with others and with the earth.
