Visitor information

You can visit Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen six days a week (Tuesdays to Sundays, excluding holidays) from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. to enjoy the collection, exhibitions and activities. Or visit the Espressobar for a cup of coffee, opened Tuesdays to Sundays from 11 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.

Admission 8 September 2018-13 January 2019

Buy an entrance ticket online. You don’t need to queue at the ticket desk and you can go straight to the ticket check. You can get your e-ticket scanned at the entrance from a print-out, your smartphone or tablet.

During the exhibition 'Pure Rubens', from 8 September until 13 January, admission for the whole museum is required. Please find here the then applicable admissions.

Please note: on Saturday 13 October, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen will be free of charge because of the grand opening of several exhibitions. Are you planning on visiting the museum on this day? Then you don't need to buy tickets in advance.

Important information

  • Museum Card holders do not need to buy an e-ticket. They can go straight to the ticket check. Visitors with a Friends Pass, Vereniging Rembrandt Card, ICOM/CIMAM or Private Art Pass can always go straight to the ticket check.

  • Visitors with a Rotterdam Pass or Stork Pass get tickets at the ticket desk by showing their card.

  • If you have a Museum Card or other discount card, please remember to bring it with you. Your e-ticket and your discount card are both scanned at the entrance.

  • You can buy up to 14 tickets online. If you would like to visit with a group of than 14 people, please reserve a group visit.

Opening hours

Tuesdays to Sundays 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Also open on Easter Monday, Whit Monday and Boxing Day.

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is closed on Mondays, King’s Day (April 27th) and Christmas Day.

The museum closes at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Special facilities

Disabled people: Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen has disabled access. There are a number of wheelchairs available and two convertible rollators/wheelchairs by Rollz. They can be reserved at or by telephoning +31(0)10-441 9475.

Visitors who are unable to visit the museum unaccompanied may bring one companion at no charge.

Babies and children: you may bring buggies into the museum but not back carriers. There are a number of buggies available at the information desk.

Blind /visually impaired people: guide dogs and sticks are allowed in the museum.
