Van Eyck Circle

In 2012 dozens of patrons contributed to the realisation of the exhibition ‘The Road to Van Eyck’. This was the starting shot for the establishment of the Van Eyck Circle, a group of art lovers from Rotterdam and further afield, which facilitates a special exhibition or project each year.

In 2017 the Van Eyck Circle has facilitated the exhibition ‘Richard Serra – Recent Drawings’. Given Serra’s advanced age, this may be the last exhibition we will be able to organise with the famous American artist.

Staging exhibitions is extremely expensive, so every donation is indispensible for their realisation. You can become a member of the Van Eyck Circle with a periodic donation of € 1.000 per year or a one-off donation of € 5.000.

5 reasons why your support for exhibitions is so important

Your contribution makes possible so much more than just the exhibition itself. Exhibitions contribute to the fact that:

  • more than 300,000 visitors per year enjoy the art at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and go home inspired
  • 3.000 families have a fun day at the museum thanks to the educational extras such as games, guided tours and much more
  • beautiful catalogues can be produced, which are bought by thousands of people
  • the museum receives more than €1.5 million worth of free press attention
  • every year more (foreign) tourists come to Rotterdam, providing the city with almost €6 million in extra revenue.
